0.      VENUE

The 24th  Curacao Regatta will be held off the south coast of the island of Curacao (Netherlands Antilles) from Friday March 21st till Sunday January 23rd  2008. Regatta centre is Baya Beach and Windsurfing Curacao.

1.      Organising Authority

The Organising Authority is the ‘Stichting Vrienden van de Curacao Regatta’ .

2.      Rules

The Curacao Regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

The Performance Handicap Ranking Fleet Rules and Guidelines (SPY) of 2006 will apply to seagoing yachts.

3.      Special rules

Competitors may have to display the event sponsor’s stickers on their boat.

4.      Entries

Eligible entries are seagoing yachts with a valid SPY rating.

5.      Notice to competitors

Notices to competitors will be posted on the official notice board on the beach in front of the infostand, located near Down town Diving and will be communicated on VHF channel 71, no later then 15 minutes prior to the start sequence for that class

6.      Changes to the sailing instructions

6.1.         Any change to the sailing instructions will be posted at least one (1) hour before the start of the race in which it will take effect and will be communicated on VHF channel 71, no later then 15 minutes prior to the start sequence for that class

6.2.         Any change to the schedule of races will be posted by 18.30 hours on the day before it will take effect.

7.      Signals made ashore

7.1.         Signals made ashore will be displayed at the flagpoles near the notice board.

7.2.         When flag ‘AP’ is displayed ashore, ‘1 minute’ is replaced with ‘not less than 30 minutes’ in Race Signals AP.
